Featuring 16 mic preamps with Phantom Power indicators and 8 XLR line outs, AB168 runs on Allen & Heath’s proprietary dSNAKE protocol. Adding an AB168 to a compatible system allows some or all I/O to be positioned up to 100m from the mixer. The unit connects over a single Cat5 cable to the mixer or AR2412 AudioRack via a secure dSNAKE EtherCon port. A second EtherCon port is provided for daisy-chaining to another AB168 box or connection of a ME personal mixing system. AB168 auto updates its firmware to synchronise with the system.

16 Mic Preamps on XLR

Phantom Power LED per Input

8 XLR Line Outs

dSNAKE Connection with locking Ethercon port

Additional locking Ethercon port for daisy chaining/ME personal mixing system

Rubber bumpers

Carry handle

Optional rack mount kit available

SPECIFICATIONS

XLR Mic/Line Inputs: Balanced

Mic/Line Preamp: Fully recallable

Input Sensitivity: -60 to + 15 dBu

Analogue Gain: +5 to +60 dB, 1 dB steps

Pad: -20 dB

Maximum Input Level: +32 dBu

Input Impedance: >4 kΩ (Pad out), >10 kΩ (Pad in)

Mic/Line Channel Noise: 20 - 20 kHz, direct out @ unbalanced out

Mic EIN: -127dB with 150Ω source

Unity Gain (pad in): -90 dBu

Low Gain (5 dB, pad out): -93 dBu

Mid Gain (30 dB, pad out)

XLR Outputs: Balanced, relay protected

Output Impedance: <75 Ω

Nominal Output: +4 dBu = 0 dB meter reading

Maximum Output Level: +22 dBy

Residual Output Noise: -91 dBu (muted, 20-20 kHz

Operating Temperature: 0 deg C to 35 deg C (32 deg F to 95 deg F)

Mains Power 100-240V, 50/60 Hz, 40W max

Manufacturer: Allen & Heath
Model: AH-AB-168
SKU: I351162-GA261003-2-WHXA
EAN: 6938122241343

We are Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center

Since 1958, Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center has been the trusted destination for musicians and audio professionals across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
