Experience Custom Shop Craftsmanship with the Gibson Custom Shop 1960 Les Paul Standard in Ice Tea Burst with a Custom Gloss Finish

1960 was the last year for the original Les Paul™ Standard, which was nearly identical to the 1959 model, except for a few specs. Most notably, this version features a faster-playing slim neck profile, beloved by the many who played them - including famous musicians like Eric Clapton, Joe Walsh, and Paul McCartney. It also has "reflector" Volume and Tone knobs, and the wider "double-ring" tuner tips.

The Custom Shop 1960 Les Paul Standard Reissue is a clone of the originals, from the hide-glue construction to the chemically re-engineered plastic parts. Each one is built with extreme care, reverence and attention to detail by expert Custom Shop craftspeople committed to providing an authentic vintage ownership experience. This model was spec'ed for our Chuck Levin's customers with the gloss finish expected of a new guitar purchase in the 60s (before VOS or "aging" treatments).
