This RBH Drums 14" x 6" Monarch Snare Drum Cherry With Birdseye Maple Inlay is a Special Order Item (Please allow extra time for delivery. These drums are hand-made - your item may vary from the photo.)
Although they are based on the drums of the 1930’s, 40’s and 50’s—classic instruments that continue to be desired by drummers and coveted by collectors— RBH Monarch drums from the RBH Drum Co. are much more than merely vintage drum replicas. The new RBH drum line incorporates several advances in drum building that take the art beyond the legendary drums of the past and firmly into the future.
To begin with, RBH Monarch drums employ the time-honored mahogany-poplar-mahogany shell configuration that is recognized as one of the most important developments in the transition from single-ply to multiple-ply drums and revered as one of the most influential designs in the history of the drumset. Every RBH Monarch drumshell follows this well-established formula faithfully yet, since each is created from today’s finest materials and meticulously handcrafted to today’s highest standards, they represent significant improvements to the original recipe.
Updating and upgrading this traditional method of drum construction not only produces a flawless, vintage-style drumshell, it also produces a deep, dark, warm, punchy, thicker and tighter drum sound. RBH Monarch drums are low in pitch with naturally controlled resonance, extremely musical and relevant for a wide range of classical and contemporary drummers and drumming situations.
This particular RBH Monarch drum is unique in that it is constructed of a cherry-poplar-cherry 3-ply shell instead of the usual mahogany poplar formula. This RBH drum comes with a custom RBH soft case.
