The Sabian Stratus Dry series is a complete cymbal setup for drummers who want a modern dry sound profile — textured and focused, without a lot of wash building up underneath everything. Hats, crashes, rides — the whole lineup shares the same design philosophy: dark tone, controlled decay, strong articulation.
The hi-hats come in 14", 15", and 16". All three pair a light top with a slightly heavier bottom, which keeps them responsive under the stick while giving you crisp, defined chick and clean footwork. The sizing options mean you can dial in exactly how much presence you want from the hats without changing the character.
Crashes run 18", 19", and 20", all thin. The 18" is your quick accent cymbal — fires and clears fast. The 19" sits in the middle as the main crash, versatile enough to handle most situations. The 20" brings more spread and presence when you need a bigger statement, while still holding that dry, short decay the series is built around.
The rides — 22" and 24" — use a lighter profile that lets them open up when you push them, while still keeping strong stick definition on top. You get real articulation without the cymbal pooling wash underneath your playing.
