Local Legends Spotlight: Rock Creek Kings!

There’s something special about watching a local band take the stage in a venue that feels like home. We recently spent an evening at one of our favorite spots—Union Stage, a gem of the DC music scene tucked into The Wharf—and got to experience that magic firsthand as Rock Creek Kings lit up the room.

If you haven’t been to Union Stage yet, it’s the kind of venue that strikes the perfect balance between intimate and electric. Cozy vibes, stellar sound—it’s a place where you don’t just hear the music, you feel it. And with Rock Creek Kings at the helm, the energy was undeniable.

These guys are pure DC spirit—blending roots rock, Americana, and a touch of indie soul into something that feels both familiar and entirely fresh. Their songs hit like journal entries set to soaring melodies and tight musicianship. One of the night’s standouts? Their latest single, “Sometimes I.” It’s a slow-burn eruption, a relentless build that crashes into a full-blown rock anthem.
