The ADJ WMX1 MK3, powered by WOLFMIX, is a standalone DMX lighting controller designed to provide powerful, intuitive show control without requiring a computer. Compatible with virtually any DMX fixture, it combines a responsive 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen with dedicated Color, Move, and Beam FX engines, music synchronization, fixture grouping, advanced programming tools, and support for up to four DMX universes. Its refined enclosure, updated button mechanism, USB-C connectivity, and extensive expansion capabilities make it a versatile solution for DJs, entertainers, clubs, houses of worship, event production, and professional installations.

Standalone Control Without a Computer
The WMX1 MK3 operates as a completely standalone lighting controller, eliminating the need for a computer during normal operation. Its touchscreen interface provides direct access to fixtures, groups, effects, presets, and project controls, making it suitable for both mobile and installed lighting systems.
Powerful FX Engines
Dedicated Color, Move, and Beam FX engines each provide eight effect types with extensive adjustment options. Parameters including speed, phase, sequence, size, fade, fan, and flicker allow effects to be customized for different fixtures and performance environments. Global FX speed and freeze functions provide additional hands-on control during live shows.
Advanced Fixture Clusters
Fixture Clusters allow sophisticated multi-element fixtures to be divided according to defined and named sections rather than simply splitting them into equal beams. Pixel arrays, RGB rings, strobes, and other independently controllable elements can be treated as logical sections of a fixture, making complex devices easier to control and improving their integration with the WMX1 MK3's FX engines.
Fixture Clusters are currently in beta testing, with the official software release scheduled for November 2026.
Music and BPM Synchronization
Lighting effects can be synchronized through the built-in omnidirectional microphone or 3.5 mm line input. BPM synchronization is also available through Ableton Link, OS2L, manual BPM tapping, or MIDI Clock through the USB MIDI port, providing multiple options for matching lighting effects to live or recorded music.
Flexible Fixture and Project Management
The WMX1 MK3 supports fixture addressing, sequencing, grouping, DMX universe mapping, and project management. Advanced tools include Fixture FLIP, Fixture SPLIT, DMX channel testing, time-controlled preset and flash triggering, and automatic gobo alignment across different fixture models.
Expandable Professional Workflow
Optional capabilities include WLINK synchronization between compatible Wolfmix controllers, DMX input mapping, additional DMX universes, and offline 3D visualization with Easy View. Projects and fixture data can be backed up and managed through the WTOOLS application, while automatic project recovery restores the active project without requiring manual saves.
Refined Hardware Design
The WMX1 MK3 builds on the WMX1 and WMX1 MK2 with a refined industrial design and an updated button mechanism for improved responsiveness and tactile feedback. Its precision-molded enclosure is designed to align with the upcoming WING expansion controller, creating a unified side-by-side control system.
