SonicLink is the answer for artists who demand high-quality sound and reliability from their headphones but also want the freedom to move around and express themselves without the restrictions of cables. Even in wireless mode, the HDJ-F9 headphones produce crystal-clear sound and a dependable connection, while the touch pairing function with compatible DJ equipment offers effortless setup.
- With the Status LED illuminated, the battery offers 7 hours’ playback when connected via SonicLink, and 13 hours’ when using a Bluetooth connection.
- The battery charges from empty to full in approximately 2.5 hours, and a 30-minute charge gives around 2.5 hours of use.
- 1.2 m coiled cable with L-shaped plug included, enabling wired monitoring and extendable up to approximately 3 m.
- Built-in microphone for hands-free calls.
The headphones’ minimal design blends naturally into any setting, combining advanced features with a refined look. Using the dedicated HEADPHONES CONNECT app, DJs can even customize the color and brightness of the Status LED so it complements the theme of the event or music genre being played. With a combination of ultra-low latency and outstanding comfort that’s hard to find in conventional wireless DJ headphones, the HDJ-F9 model offers an experience unique to its on-ear design.
Evolved SonicLink With Touch Pairing for a Freer DJ Performance
The HDJ-F9 headphones feature SonicLink, AlphaTheta’s own wireless technology. SonicLink delivers the high-quality sound, powerful volume, and ultra-low latency that DJs need – all wirelessly. Without cables, DJs can monitor mixing, and even scratch, accurately. Latency is as low as 9 msec, so DJs can stay fully focused on the performance without noticing any delay.
And with the newly added SonicLink touch pairing function, DJs can instantly connect to compatible DJ gear, such as the DJM-V5, simply by touching the headphones to the mixer or other supported unit. By using the separately sold SonicLink Transmitter HP-TX01, DJs can connect the headphones to a wide range of devices.
Rich Low Frequencies and Highly Effective Sound Isolation
While they’re compact in size, the HDJ-F9 headphones are designed for precise monitoring, even in loud DJ booths. The newly developed 40 mm drivers deliver powerful, full-bodied low frequencies all the way down to the sub-bass range. The bass-reflex chamber at the top of each housing accurately reproduces the attack of basslines and kicks, delivering tight, clearly defined lows. And the PEEK-PU-PEEK composite film diaphragm suppresses unwanted vibration, providing a well-balanced mid and high range with minimal distortion. With an optimized internal structure, the headphones achieve a high level of sound isolation compared to other on-ear models. So, DJs can monitor music comfortably without turning the volume up too high, reducing strain on the ears.
Durability and Minimal Design to Support Every Monitoring Style
Whichever monitoring style is preferred, the HDJ-F9 headphones adapt to the DJ. The swivel-mounted hangers and flexible silicone headband are comfortable to wear, whether listening with one ear or resting the headphones on a shoulder.
To ensure long-term durability, the adjustable slider is made from tough die-cast aluminum. The headphones have passed international durability tests, offering the reliability that professional DJs need.
Customize the Experience With the Dedicated HEADPHONES CONNECT App
Using the HEADPHONES CONNECT app on a smartphone, DJs can adjust the color and brightness of the Status LED to match a mood or musical style. DJs can also rename the headphones and configure the auto-power-off function and voice assistant settings for Siri or Google Assistant.
The built-in Find My Headphones feature lets DJs locate the headphones by playing a sound, and on Android devices, it’s also compatible with Find Hub. The app provides firmware updates and tips, along with support functions to give DJs extra peace of mind.
Multipoint Bluetooth for Seamless Connection Across Multiple Devices
With multipoint Bluetooth pairing, DJs can connect the headphones with 2 devices at the same time – for example, a smartphone and a PC – so switching between them is effortless. There’s also compatibility with Google Fast Pair and Windows Swift Pair, enabling quick one-touch pairing with Android or Windows devices.
