New: The item is brand new as received from the manufacturer with a full manufacturer warranty. Instruments such as guitars, snare drums, drum kits, brass and woodwind instruments may be opened for photography and quality control inspection and may not be in a factory sealed box.
Mint or Open Box: The item may have been opened and tested but has been repackaged. The original packaging may have superficial issues but the item itself and any originally included accessories are in perfect, like new condition.
Display Model: These items are so cool that we put them on display in our legendary shop. The condition is brand new as received from the manufacturer with manufacturer warranty. Rest assured, these items undergo a very careful inspection before shipping.
Demo: These items have been on our sales floor for demo purposes and will likely show signs of use. The original packaging may no longer be included, but you can be assured that you are receiving an awesome item and an awesome price.
Used: The item is used. These item may have varying degrees of wear. Please read the description for information about the condition of the item. Used items do not carry a warranty.
B or C Stock: Factory refurbished. These items were purchased from the manufacturer in a refurbished condition. They will show some cosmetic issues, but nothing that would impact performance. The Arturia BeatStep is a chameleon controller and sequencer that provides nearly endless possibilities. Its compact design makes it the perfect companion for music creation both in the studio and on the road. Combining deep functionality with seamless performance, BeatStep brings a degree of control never before seen in a portable pad controller.

Step Sequencer
In SEQ mode, the 16 pads act as toggles for each step in your sequence while the 16 encoders control pitch for their respective steps. With 16 memory slots for instant recall, BeatStep offers pad scale modes, sequence playback variations, and time-division functions for dynamic performance control. MIDI, USB, and CV/Gate connectivity ensure compatibility with analog synths, drum machines, and DAWs alike.
Percussion Controller
With 16 velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads, BeatStep serves as the ideal compact percussion instrument. The ultra-sensitive pads deliver expressive, dynamic drum performances, while the assignable encoders offer real-time control over sound parameters for a fully hands-on experience.
General Purpose Control Surface
BeatStep’s flexible architecture allows its pads to send MIDI note messages, MMC commands, Program and Bank changes, or function as MIDI CC buttons. With 16 encoders, 16 pads, and 16 presets, it’s perfectly suited for both stage and studio setups. Control DAWs, trigger clips in Ableton Live, manipulate effects in DJ software, or sync BeatStep as MIDI Clock master or slave. When paired with an iPad via camera connection kit, it becomes an exceptionally adaptable mobile controller.
