It bridges hardware and software with ease, combining a Slimkey keyboard, performance-ready sequencer and arpeggiator, and deep connectivity via CV/Gate, MIDI DIN, Sync I/O, and USB-C so you can compose, jam, and perform wherever inspiration hits.

More than just keys, KeyStep mk2 is a creative nerve center. Capture a riff, flip into Sequencer mode, and turn it into a full pattern; then use Mutate, Spice, and Dice to evolve it in real time. Arpeggiator mode offers 16 different arp types—like Poly, Walk, Pattern, and Random—while Phrase Arp lets you remap sequences to the notes you play for instant, musical transformations.
In Controller mode, KeyStep mk2 becomes the hub of your rig, sending notes, chords, and modulation via MIDI, USB, and CV. Use the four CV/Gate outputs to control pitch, gate, and modulation on your modular system, while MIDI DIN and USB-C keep your DAW, drum machines, and external synths locked in time via Sync I/O.
Whether you’re sketching ideas in the studio, driving a live hardware rig, or streaming a performance, KeyStep mk2 keeps your workflow fluid: overdub notes, chain patterns, record automation, and reshape sequences on the fly without ever breaking your groove.
