- Compact design for studio, stage, and portable setups
Classic OB-Xa-Inspired Analog Sound
The UB-Xa MINI draws inspiration from the OB-Xa synthesizer architecture, using authentic-style VCO and VCF circuitry to deliver the rich analog textures associated with classic 1980s synthesis. Three VCOs provide a strong tonal foundation for pads, leads, basses, and layered analog sounds.
Flexible Analog Filtering
The analog low-pass filter can be switched between 12 dB and 24 dB slopes, allowing users to move between smoother and more aggressive filtering characteristics. Adjustable resonance provides additional control for classic sweeps, resonant tones, and expressive sound shaping.
Ring Modulation for Complex Textures
A multi-mode ring modulator operates with the square-wave oscillators to create metallic, bell-like, and harmonically complex sounds. Dedicated Ring Unison and Ring Poly play modes make it easy to incorporate these textures into both monophonic and polyphonic performances.
Multiple Performance Modes
The UB-Xa MINI includes Poly, Unison, Octaves, Fifths, Ring Unison, and Ring Poly modes, providing a wide range of performance options. These modes make it possible to quickly move from traditional polyphonic playing to stacked, interval-based, and ring-modulated textures.
16-Step Motion Sequencer
The integrated 16-step motion sequencer includes 10 memory slots and can record knob movements along with note patterns. This allows parameters to evolve automatically throughout a sequence, making it easy to create animated grooves, rhythmic modulation, and evolving analog textures.
LFO Modulation and Hands-On Control
The onboard LFO provides three waveforms and synchronization for controlling pitch, filter cutoff, and pulse width. Combined with the 27 touch-sensitive keys and straightforward control layout, the UB-Xa MINI provides immediate access to expressive analog sound design.
