Bring Classic Alnico Character to Your Amp with the Celestion Gold 12-Inch Guitar Speaker
The Celestion Gold is a 12-inch Alnico guitar speaker designed to deliver the expressive response and classic tonal character associated with a well-played-in vintage speaker. Building on the platform of the Celestion Blue, the Gold offers higher power handling while retaining the smooth attack, rounded low end, rich midrange, and bell-like high frequencies that define traditional Alnico performance. Its naturally softened top end and added warmth make it equally suited for full rhythm voicings and saturated lead tones.
- 12-inch Alnico guitar speaker
- 50W power rating
- Available in 8 Ohm or 15 Ohm versions
- 100 dB sensitivity
- Designed to reproduce the character of a well-played-in vintage speaker
- Smooth, laid-back attack with rounded low-frequency response
- Warm and complex midrange voicing
- Brilliant bell-like high frequencies
- Well suited for rich rhythm tones and saturated vocal-style lead sounds
- Pressed steel chassis
- 1.75-inch round copper voice coil
Classic Alnico Tone with Higher Power Handling
The Celestion Gold expands on the tonal foundation of the Celestion Blue while offering increased power handling. Its Alnico magnet structure provides a responsive feel with smooth attack characteristics, while the cone is voiced to deliver the softened high-frequency response associated with a speaker that has already been extensively played in.
Warm Midrange and Bell-Like Highs
The Gold combines a rounded low end with added warmth and complexity through the midrange. Its clear, bell-like top end helps chords remain open and detailed while lead tones retain a saturated, vocal quality.
Expressive Dynamic Response
Designed to respond closely to playing dynamics, the Celestion Gold gives guitarists a high degree of control through touch and picking intensity. Its revealing character makes it suitable for players who want an expressive speaker that reacts naturally to changes in technique and amplifier response.
