As the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and primary songwriter for the GRAMMY® Award-winning band Halestorm, a true riff authority, fearless performer, and Gibson’s first female Brand Ambassador, Lzzy Hale demands an instrument that delivers without compromise. Epiphone proudly unveils the Lzzy Hale Explorer™ Custom, a guitar designed to rise to the intensity of her performances and reflect her unapologetically powerful presence.
The Lzzy Hale Explorer Custom sports a mahogany Explorer body with elegant 7-ply top binding and is dressed in a striking gloss Black Diamond Holographic Sparkle finish that commands attention onstage. Paired with a single-ply mirror pickguard, it delivers maximum visual impact under concert lighting. The mahogany neck is shaped to Epiphone’s comfortable and fast SlimTaper™ 60s C profile and capped with an ebony fretboard featuring 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid block inlays. The signature Explorer “hockeystick” headstock showcases a raised Epiphone 3D nickel logo and is equipped with a Graph Tech® nut and Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners for dependable tuning stability. A 2-ply black truss rod cover engraved with a reproduction of Lzzy Hale’s signature and a sleek black stinger on the rear of the headstock add custom touches. At the opposite end, strings ride over a LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic™ bridge and secure to a LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece, delivering accurate intonation and long-lasting sustain.
Driving the Lzzy Hale Explorer Custom is a matched set of Epiphone ProBucker™ Ignite pickups, engineered for power and clarity. Each pickup connects to its own volume control, along with a shared master tone control topped with a silver Speed knob for precise tone shaping. A three-way pickup selector toggle allows easy access to either pickup or both together. Designed for crushing tones and standout style, Lzzy’s Explorer Custom is purpose-built for heavy music. A hardshell case is included to protect it while traveling. Make a statement onstage and beyond, both sonically and visually, with this commanding new Artist Model from Epiphone.
