Boundary-Pushing Tone - The Fender Limited Edition Kim Gordon Jazzmaster Electric Guitar in Olympic White
Throughout her Grammy-nominated solo work and her tenure as a co-founder of Sonic Youth, Kim Gordon is widely recognized as one of the most original bass players in modern rock music. She has also continually returned to the guitar both in the studio and onstage, developing a distinctive voice defined by dissonance, texture and restraint.
- Alder body finished in Olympic White with matching headcap
- Maple neck with Modern "C" profile
- Rosewood Fingerboard: 9.5" radius rosewood fingerboard with white pearloid block inlays
- Pickup Configuration: Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 bridge humbucker and Player Alnico V Jazzmaster single-coil neck pickup
- Jazzmaster Bridge and Tremolo: Jazzmaster bridge with Mustang saddles and vintage-style floating tremolo tailpiece
- ClassicGear Tuning Machines: Fender ClassicGear tuning machines
The Limited Edition Kim Gordon Jazzmaster reflects that dual legacy. Finished in Olympic White with a matching headcap, it’s a visually striking instrument that carries its character in the details: a rosewood fingerboard with white pearloid block inlays and a Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 humbucker in the bridge that pushes the Jazzmaster’s naturally open voice into heavier, more aggressive territory. The vintage-style floating tremolo preserves the offset architecture that made the Jazzmaster a staple of the no wave and noise rock scene of which Gordon has long been a massive influence. The Limited Edition Kim Gordon Jazzmaster is a fresh take on a storied model, designed to channel the exploratory, boundary-pushing approach that has defined Gordon’s work on both four- and six-stringed instruments.
