Display Model: These items are so cool that we put them on display in our legendary shop. The condition is brand new as received from the manufacturer with manufacturer warranty. Rest assured, these items undergo a very careful inspection before shipping.
Demo: These items have been on our sales floor for demo purposes and will likely show signs of use. The original packaging may no longer be included, but you can be assured that you are receiving an awesome item and an awesome price.

Hand-Selected at the Gibson Custom Shop - The Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue 5A Quilt Maple Top Electric Guitar in Faded Tobacco Sunburst
This guitar is part of a group of six Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissues we commissioned with individually hand-selected 5A quilted maple tops. We weren’t looking for six guitars that looked exactly alike—we chose tops with their own depth, movement, and personality.
Finished in Faded Tobacco Sunburst, the quilted maple is paired with a super-lightweight mahogany body and all the details players expect from an R9: a Carmelita V1 neck profile, one-piece rosewood fingerboard, unpotted Alnico 3 Custombuckers, Historic Reissue hardware, and a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish. The pickguard is included in the case but left uninstalled, keeping the top fully visible.
We opened our doors in 1958, right at the beginning of the original Les Paul Burst era. Nearly seven decades later, having the opportunity to select guitars like this one at the Gibson Custom Shop is still pretty special.
