Mint or Open Box: The item may have been opened and tested but has been repackaged. The original packaging may have superficial issues but the item itself and any originally included accessories are in perfect, like new condition.
Display Model: These items are so cool that we put them on display in our legendary shop. The condition is brand new as received from the manufacturer with manufacturer warranty. Rest assured, these items undergo a very careful inspection before shipping.
Demo: These items have been on our sales floor for demo purposes and will likely show signs of use. The original packaging may no longer be included, but you can be assured that you are receiving an awesome item and an awesome price.

The Gibson Custom Shop's 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue is not just a tribute to the priceless original models. Gibson maps and clones the iconic build, starting from laser-scanned dimensions to chemically-recreated plastics to color-matched shades of each sunburst. Every element of the original can now be rendered in unbelievable detail. This threshold represents the culmination of decades of work by Custom Shop's expert team - a tireless quest to bring accuracy and authenticity to the hands of fans.
Chuck Levin's was founded in 1958 and saw our early successes while the original versions of these Murphy Lab Les Pauls were leaving Gibson's shop. Much like the Gibson Les Paul, Chuck Levin's continues to grow as a legend among serious musicians.
Celebrating our 65th Anniversary and our shared history together, we've partnered with the Gibson Murphy Lab to bring you this collection of amazing instruments, built in the same way that they were then, back when Chuck Levin's was just a small music shop in the middle of DC.

The Fade
It's the definition of cool, and it's the best representation of the 1959 Les Paul Standard since the Gibson Custom Shop began making Historic Reissues over twenty-five years ago. Starting from there, this striking model incorporates some pretty special features, including a proprietary shading spec'd for Chuck Levin's, along with the Murphy Lab's subtle touch, to lend the perfect amount of authentic aged qualities you'd expect on such a treasured find from that era.
