The Heritage Audio TUBESTRIP is an all-tube recording channel designed to take on vocals, instruments, and line-level sources with rich tone shaping, dynamic control, and classic analog color. Combining a tube preamp, inductor-based EQ, Vari-Mu compression, optical tube compression, and de-essing capability in one 3U unit, the TUBESTRIP delivers a complete front-end signal path for tracking and sculpting professional recordings.

Pure Tube Power
The TUBESTRIP combines four essential processors into one convenient all-tube recording channel. Packed with carefully selected tubes, custom-made transformers, and custom inductors, it is designed to deliver an exciting, evocative sound that brings recordings to life. Rather than feeling like separate processors placed in a box, the TUBESTRIP is built as one coherent signal-shaping instrument.
Morph Tube Preamp
The signal path begins with a transformer-coupled tube preamp offering up to 60 dB of voltage gain. The Morph section allows users to choose and blend between different preamp personalities. Triode mode emphasizes warmth and smoothness, Pentode mode adds bite and attitude, and UltraLinear mode sits between the two for a balanced response.
The preamp is designed to handle microphone, line-level, and DI instrument sources, making it suitable for vocals, guitars, bass, keyboards, drums, room mics, and acoustic instruments. A dedicated output attenuator after the preamp section allows precise level control before feeding the EQ, compressors, or recording device.
Type 69 Inspired Inductor EQ
The inductor-based EQ section is inspired by a legendary English design from the late 1960s. Its musical layout gives engineers and producers a fast way to sweeten, soften, enlarge, or focus a sound depending on the source and the mix goal.
Vari-Mu Compression
The Vari-Mu compressor provides dynamic control while adding thickness, excitement, and movement. Based on Heritage Audio’s LANG P.Lane design with Seawell Mod inspiration, this compressor is designed to maintain transients and let the signal breathe, even under heavier compression. A switchable routing option allows the order of the EQ section and Vari-Mu compressor to be changed for different tonal results.
Optical Tube Compression and De-Essing
The optical compressor section adds smooth leveling, density, and peak control, making it especially useful for vocals and other dynamic sources. It can also be used as a natural-sounding de-esser with adjustable frequency control, helping reduce sibilance in a transparent and musical way.
Final Output Control
The output section provides attenuation from -14 dB to +6 dB, allowing users to fine-tune the level feeding the next piece of gear or audio interface. This makes it easier to enjoy the TUBESTRIP’s onboard processing without overloading the destination input.

Vocals, drums, guitars, bass, keys, room microphones, and acoustic instruments can all benefit from the TUBESTRIP’s flexible signal path.
