New: The item is brand new as received from the manufacturer with a full manufacturer warranty. Instruments such as guitars, snare drums, drum kits, brass and woodwind instruments may be opened for photography and quality control inspection and may not be in a factory sealed box.
Mint or Open Box: The item may have been opened and tested but has been repackaged. The original packaging may have superficial issues but the item itself and any originally included accessories are in perfect, like new condition.
Display Model: These items are so cool that we put them on display in our legendary shop. The condition is brand new as received from the manufacturer with manufacturer warranty. Rest assured, these items undergo a very careful inspection before shipping.
Demo: These items have been on our sales floor for demo purposes and will likely show signs of use. The original packaging may no longer be included, but you can be assured that you are receiving an awesome item and an awesome price.

Introducing phase8, an eight-voice acoustic synthesizer that merges the sonic richness of the physical world with precise electronic control. Built on KORG’s latest Acoustic Synthesis technology, phase8 delivers haptic sound generation through physically vibrating steel resonators—then extends that organic source with envelope shaping, sequencing, analogue wavefolding, pitch-dependent modulation, and automation. The result is an instrument that feels alive in your hands and reacts to touch, acoustic feedback, and the environment around it.

Acoustic Synthesis That You Can Feel
phase8 uses physically vibrating bodies to generate sound, enhanced with the kind of electronic control you’d expect from a modern synthesizer. It’s beyond “analog vs. digital” — the core sound comes from eight independent electromechanical voices driving real steel resonators, delivering an organic response that changes with touch and acoustic interaction.
Swappable, Tunable Steel Resonators
phase8 comes with 13 chromatically tuned resonators, and you can install any 8 at a time. Shape everything from short, percussive strikes to long sustained tones with envelope control, then easily swap and tune resonators to customize the scale and overall character of your instrument.
Polymetric Sequencing, Modulation, And Motion
An intuitive sequencer supports both step programming and unquantized live recording, with per-voice step skip for polymetric patterns. Add motion with three amplitude modulation effects (including pitch-dependent audio-rate options), dial in delayed triggers relative to tempo, and automate any front-panel control over a sequence using the record function.
Built For Real-World Play And Creative Setups
phase8 invites hands-on experimentation: touch, pluck, strum, or tap resonators—or introduce found objects for new textures. With MIDI/USB-MIDI, CV control, and Sync I/O, it integrates easily into hybrid rigs. External MIDI can trigger phase8 notes, and the onboard sequencer can drive external MIDI instruments for a tightly connected creative workflow.
