Four-Zone Power Architecture

The Make Noise 4 Zone Power Bus Board is designed to accommodate the wide variety of power requirements found in modern Eurorack systems. Instead of functioning as a single shared bus board, the design behaves like four independent power zones within one integrated board.

Each zone receives isolated +12VDC and -12VDC supplies along with a dedicated ground return path. The +5VDC supply is shared among all four zones. This arrangement allows noise-prone modules to be separated from more sensitive modules, helping create a cleaner and more manageable power environment.

Integrated CV Bus

The CV Bus provides visual indication of level, rate, and polarity for up to four control signals that can be distributed throughout a patch. These four signals are color coded and routed across the center of the system, making important modulation and timing sources easier to identify and access.

Instead of relying on a conventional multiple positioned in one location, the CV Bus places distributed control signals beneath potential destinations across the system. This arrangement encourages the use of shorter patch cables and can make large, complex patches easier to navigate.

Voltage Math Utility

Located at the left side of the CV Bus, the Voltage Math section provides a compact collection of useful modular functions. Its two inputs are summed at the output, with one input operating at unity and the second controlled by an attenuverter.

The attenuverted input is normalled to a DC offset when no external signal is connected, making the section useful for level shifting, voltage mirroring, signal summing, and related control-voltage processing. Green and red LEDs provide visual indication of output level and polarity.

Integrated Stereo Line Driver

The CV Bus also includes a high-quality Stereo Line Driver that converts modular-level signals to standard line level. Separate mini-jack inputs support Left/Mono and Right signals, while a master volume control adjusts the overall output level.

Outputs include a stereo line output pair along with a TRS line/headphone output. The circuit is designed to drive long cable runs to a PA system or headphones and includes AC coupling and built-in limiting with visual indication to help protect listening equipment when patch levels become extreme.

Built for Travel and Performance

The powder-coated metal enclosure provides strong mechanical protection while maintaining a streamlined matte black appearance designed to complement Make Noise Black & Gold modules. The removable lid provides enough clearance to close the case while a system remains patched, allowing complex setups to stay connected between sessions or performances.

A recessed power switch and inlet help protect controls during transportation, while the locking power connection reduces the chance of accidental disconnection on stage. A solid carrying handle, rubber feet, and compact dimensions make the case well suited for portable modular systems.
