New: The item is brand new as received from the manufacturer with a full manufacturer warranty. Instruments such as guitars, snare drums, drum kits, brass and woodwind instruments may be opened for photography and quality control inspection and may not be in a factory sealed box.
Mint or Open Box: The item may have been opened and tested but has been repackaged. The original packaging may have superficial issues but the item itself and any originally included accessories are in perfect, like new condition.
Display Model: These items are so cool that we put them on display in our legendary shop. The condition is brand new as received from the manufacturer with manufacturer warranty. Rest assured, these items undergo a very careful inspection before shipping.
Demo: These items have been on our sales floor for demo purposes and will likely show signs of use. The original packaging may no longer be included, but you can be assured that you are receiving an awesome item and an awesome price.
Used: The item is used. These item may have varying degrees of wear. Please read the description for information about the condition of the item. Used items do not carry a warranty.
B or C Stock: Factory refurbished. These items were purchased from the manufacturer in a refurbished condition. They will show some cosmetic issues, but nothing that would impact performance. "J" like in Jazz - But not limited to Jazz — Klezmer, modern compositions, and wherever you go with your music. The Moe Custom J offers you a reliable core, dark sound, sparkle and all the flexibility and projection you need from a whisper to a cry. How so? Setup, all QRP pads, different tone hole undercuts and tone hole matrix.
- A well thought through tone hole matrix.
- Tone hole sizes that are designed to realize the desired sound characteristics of the different models.
- Undercuts support core and richness and increase ventilation.
- Perfecting the opening angle of each key for flawless intonation.
- Pads that have an extremely long live span and will never change due to playing.
- QRP pads act as full size resonators.
- Carefully selected pad combination of QRP and CFS pads for each model support the targeted sound idea.
- The keys are die-forged and solid and will keep the setup in place.
- Ergonomics and aesthetics are a priority.
- The keys are hand-fitted and de-burred for a snug, smooth fit.
- An abundance of adjustment screws will help any tech to make corrections to the setup if needed — if so — far down the road.
- Rubber o-rings and spring loaded pivot screw receivers make the mechanics stunningly noiseless.
- Innovative, noiseless foam adjustment pieces will keep their form and contribute to the long lasting setup.
- Even spring pressure provide crisp response and fluid action.
- Particularly long spring cradles where possible distribute force evenly.
- Specially constructed tenon corks serve you extra long with a snug fit. etc, etc...

Moe clarinets deserve the name Custom. Every piece of wood is different, Every player is different. Why would one mass-produce standardized clarinets when you can take wood and player into consideration and build a unique clarinet from a certain blank and set it up for the individual player?
It is a business choice to mass-produce clarinets, not an artistic one. Building Moe Custom Clarinets is a purely artistic decision. Moe Custom Clarinet's goal is to provide the right instrument for the player.
