Creative DAW Control
Launchkey 88 MK4 is designed to keep the creative process moving. It offers deep, ready-to-use control for major DAWs, giving users direct access to transport functions, timeline navigation, mixing, EQ, clip launching, instruments, and effect parameters. In Ableton Live Session View and Logic Live Loops, the 16 RGB pads double as clip launchers for a hardware-driven workflow.
Expressive Keys and Pads
The 88-note semi-weighted waterfall-style keybed is built for musical expression, giving players a piano-like feel while staying focused on modern production workflows. The patented FSR pads are velocity-sensitive and support polyphonic aftertouch, making them ideal for finger drumming, launching clips, triggering sounds, and adding expressive control to performances.
Built-In Chord, Scale, and Arpeggiator Tools
Launchkey 88 MK4 includes creative tools that work directly from the hardware. Scale Mode helps keep notes in key, Chord Detector shows the chord currently being played on the OLED display, and three Chord Modes make it easier to build musical progressions. The editable Arpeggiator helps users generate and reshape patterns for new ideas.
Split, Layer, and Hardware MIDI Control
Split Mode divides the keyboard into two independent zones, while Layer Mode lets two MIDI channels play simultaneously from the same keys. A full-size 5-pin MIDI output makes it easy to connect Launchkey 88 MK4 directly to external synths and MIDI hardware without needing a computer.
Custom Modes and Components Software
Launchkey 88 MK4 can be customized with Novation Components software. Users can create and store up to four custom mappings each for faders, pads, and encoders, then recall them directly from the hardware to send notes, MIDI CCs, or program changes.
