New: The item is brand new as received from the manufacturer with a full manufacturer warranty. Instruments such as guitars, snare drums, drum kits, brass and woodwind instruments may be opened for photography and quality control inspection and may not be in a factory sealed box.
Mint or Open Box: The item may have been opened and tested but has been repackaged. The original packaging may have superficial issues but the item itself and any originally included accessories are in perfect, like new condition.
Display Model: These items are so cool that we put them on display in our legendary shop. The condition is brand new as received from the manufacturer with manufacturer warranty. Rest assured, these items undergo a very careful inspection before shipping.
Demo: These items have been on our sales floor for demo purposes and will likely show signs of use. The original packaging may no longer be included, but you can be assured that you are receiving an awesome item and an awesome price.

SuperNATURAL Acoustic Instrument Sounds
The Aerophone AE-20 includes a broad collection of acoustic instrument sounds powered by Roland SuperNATURAL technology. Soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone saxophones are joined by clarinet, flute, trumpet, violin, cello, and a variety of world instruments including erhu, shakuhachi, and bagpipes. The sound engine responds to breath and performance gestures with realistic changes in dynamics, articulation, and tonal character.
ZEN-Core Synthesis
For electronic and modern sounds, the AE-20 features Roland's ZEN-Core Synthesis System, the same core technology used in professional Roland instruments such as FANTOM and JUPITER-X. The sound library spans traditional analog-style synth tones and contemporary digital textures, all tailored to respond to the expressive range of a wind instrument.
Natural Wind-Instrument Expression
A reed-style mouthpiece and highly responsive breath and bite sensors allow the AE-20 to react naturally to playing technique. Pitch bends, vibrato, articulation, and dynamics can be shaped directly through performance, while sensor sensitivity can be customized to suit individual preferences.
Flexible Fingering and Extended Range
The AE-20 supports multiple fingering systems, including saxophone, clarinet, flute, and recorder layouts, along with custom configurations. Instant transposition and a seven-octave range provide greater flexibility than traditional acoustic wind instruments and make it easier to cover a wide variety of musical styles.
Practice, Perform, and Create Anywhere
The built-in speaker allows the Aerophone AE-20 to be played without external equipment, while headphones provide a quiet practice option. For live performance, the instrument can be connected to an amplifier or house PA. USB-MIDI connectivity also allows the AE-20 to function as an expressive controller for compatible music production applications.
Bluetooth Audio and Learning Tools
Bluetooth audio streaming allows music and instructional videos to play through the Aerophone's onboard sound system for practice and play-along sessions. The Aerophone Lesson app provides guided instruction on holding the instrument, using the mouthpiece, developing fingering skills, and practicing songs with accuracy scoring.
Deep Personalization with Aerophone Pro Editor
The free Aerophone Pro Editor provides detailed control over sounds and performance settings. Users can build custom tones and layered sounds, organize them into Scenes, assign expressive performance parameters, and save groups of Scenes to a mobile device or compatible online storage service.
Expand with Roland Cloud
Roland Cloud provides additional content for the AE-20, including Sound Packs created by wind-instrument specialists. Compatible applications such as Zenbeats and Zentracker can also be used for songwriting, recording, and music production.
