About the Schilke G1L Three Valve Tuning Bell G/F Trumpet
Another classic Renold Schilke design, this versatile model allows the performer to execute a large wide range of literature from large orchestral, chamber and solo works with a variety of colors.
Unless specified, this model is supplied with two #5 bells with slide sets, one in “G,” and one in “F.”
Schilke G1L OPTIONS:
#5 Bell in F or G
The #5 is the biggest bell Schilke offers, and is approximately 4 3/8" in diameter from outside bead to bead. The #5 bell is best bell for a broad sound.
#7 Bell in G
Smaller than the standard #5 bell, the #7 is larger in the throat than the # 8 bell and is approximately 4" in diameter bead to bead.
#8 Bell in G
The number #8 bell is the same bell that is standard on the P5-4 piccolo trumpet, and used for a lighter piccolo sound when a G trumpet is required.
#2 Bell in E
This bell taper and length will allow you to convert the G1L to E natural.
