Display Model: These items are so cool that we put them on display in our legendary shop. The condition is brand new as received from the manufacturer with manufacturer warranty. Rest assured, these items undergo a very careful inspection before shipping.

These New York-style, front-action piston tubas are designed to help players achieve success across a broad range of solo and ensemble musical styles. Based on input from world-class tubists, the 623S has a new layout that delivers evolutionary advances in function and playability, allowing the player to focus on what matters most: the music itself.

Body Construction
The YBB-623S features a reengineered body shape, with smooth curves and simplified bends to enhance airflow and produce a gloriously rich tone. Thinner brass from the bell to the top bow improves responsiveness, while the smooth bottom bow guard plate increases resonance and reduces player fatigue during extended sessions. The instrument delivers a deep, warm timbre that supports easy low-register playing.
Leadpipe and Receiver
The floating leadpipe allows the bell to vibrate freely for clearer projection, while its angle and layout promote comfortable holding and natural breathing. The multi shank receiver accommodates both American and European mouthpieces without an adapter, providing flexibility for player preference.
Valve and Tuning Features
This model’s four-valve design ensures smooth performance across registers. The secondary main tuning slide offers additional tuning range and can be adjusted while playing for precise pitch control. Vented pistons keep tubing pressure consistent for effortless slide movement, while the adjustable thumb ring, contoured metal valve buttons, and low-resilience pads enhance comfort and control.
Included Accessories
The BB-69D2 mouthpiece is specifically designed for the 623 series, offering a rich symphonic tone and easy control. A protective case is included for safe transport.
