Mint or Open Box: The item may have been opened and tested but has been repackaged. The original packaging may have superficial issues but the item itself and any originally included accessories are in perfect, like new condition.
Display Model: These items are so cool that we put them on display in our legendary shop. The condition is brand new as received from the manufacturer with manufacturer warranty. Rest assured, these items undergo a very careful inspection before shipping.
Demo: These items have been on our sales floor for demo purposes and will likely show signs of use. The original packaging may no longer be included, but you can be assured that you are receiving an awesome item and an awesome price.

The YBL-835 has evolved to deliver the power and performance that modern music demands. It offers an open playing feel and produces a rich, authoritative tone that responds ideally to player control. As the first Yamaha custom bass trombone to feature a detachable hand rest, it provides significantly improved operation for enhanced comfort in any performance setting. Designed for solo, orchestral, and ensemble use, it delivers world-class tone and playability.

Slide and Receiver Design
The newly designed slide receiver enhances projection, adds power to the core sound, and improves playing response. A modified mouthpiece receiver allows the mouthpiece to resonate more freely, providing greater flexibility and easier control.
Valve and Lever Enhancements
The rotary valve port shape has been refined to allow more airflow, producing a wider, more powerful sound. Lever action features a shorter stroke for smoother operation, a double torsion spring for consistency, and double ball bearings to reduce maintenance. The first lever cover has been reshaped for comfort, and the second lever finger plate angle is adjustable to fit the player’s hand precisely.
Detachable Hand Rest
The first detachable and adjustable hand rest on a Yamaha custom bass trombone reduces strain on the player’s hand and fingers. It provides a steadier hold, allowing the player to focus on musical performance. The rest can be removed entirely with the included hex wrench.
Tuning and Tone
Both the YBL-835 and its gold brass variant feature a gold brass main tuning slide for added depth and richness in tone. The optional detachable bell design in other models of the series allows for more compact storage and can add projection to the sound.
