New 50th Anniversary Taylor 614ce LTD and 858e LTD

Celebrate Five Decades of Craftsmanship with the latest Taylor's 50th Anniversary Limited-Edition Guitars

Taylor Guitars, renowned for their meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence, has released two more stunning models as part of their 50th Anniversary Collection: the 614ce LTD and the 858e LTD. These guitars not only celebrate the brand's rich history but also offer players a unique and unforgettable playing experience.

614ce LTD: A Visual and Sonic Masterpiece

The 50th Anniversary 614ce LTD draws inspiration from the earliest guitars crafted by Bob Taylor. This limited-edition cutaway Grand Auditorium is a feast for the eyes and ears. Featuring a maple/spruce tonewood combination, the 614ce LTD boasts a milky-hued transparent white finish with a white edgeburst, complemented by a rich gloss finish. This visually captivating aesthetic is just the beginning.

The solid Sitka spruce top and figured Big Leaf maple back and sides of the 614ce LTD deliver a sophisticated voice that balances a clear, vibrant midrange with pleasing sonic warmth. Taylor's innovative V-Class bracing enhances volume and sustain while improving pitch accuracy all the way up the neck, resulting in a highly player-reflective instrument that showcases each player’s individual style.

The 614ce LTD is adorned with elegant features, including faux tortoise body and soundhole binding, green abalone Wings inlays, a single-ring abalone rosette, and a mother-of-pearl peghead logo. Celebratory 50th Anniversary appointments include gold tuning machines, ebony bridge pins with gold acrylic dots, and a commemorative interior label. The guitar ships with onboard ES2 electronics and a deluxe brown hardshell case, ensuring it is as practical as it is beautiful.

858e LTD: The First 12-String in the 50th Anniversary Collection

The 858e LTD is the first 12-string guitar to join Taylor's 50th Anniversary Collection, and it certainly makes an impact. This limited-edition Grand Orchestra model offers a rich, powerful "wall-of-sound" voice along with a supremely inviting handfeel—a nod to the playable 12-strings that helped put Taylor on the map back in the mid-'70s.

With Indian rosewood back and sides paired with a Sitka spruce top, the 858e LTD aligns with the ethos that defined Taylor's early models. Modern design elements, such as V-Class voicing architecture, enhance the volume, sustain, pitch accuracy, and touch sensitivity, making this guitar a dream to play.

Taylor's double-mounted string anchoring system uses a shared anchor point for each pair of strings to maintain a steady string break angle over the saddle, ensuring optimal tonal balance. Refined visual appointments include mother-of-pearl Progressive Diamond fretboard inlays, a mother-of-pearl peghead logo, a three-ring green abalone rosette, and a faux tortoise pickguard. Celebratory 50th Anniversary design elements like Taylor gold mini tuners, ebony bridge pins with gold acrylic dots, and a special commemorative label inside complete the package. The 858e LTD ships with ES2 electronics and a deluxe Western Floral hardshell case.
