The Spector Woodstock Custom Collection Volume II

12 remarkable, one-of-a-kind basses and the Spector team members who designed them.

The Spector Woodstock Custom Collection Volume II is all about experimenting as creatives, trying new things, and pushing the boundaries of what a Spector bass can be. Every one of the 12 basses is what happens when the skilled people who work on instruments every day get to create their own take on Spector’s iconic design. The results are works of art, inspiring musical tools, and a demonstration of our Custom Shop's unmatched craftsmanship.

These one-of-a-kind instruments also represent the unique stories and styles of the individuals who make up the talented Spector team.

3 of these incredible basses are available at Chuck Levin's, lets meet them shall we?

NS-2 Fen - Woodstock Custom Collection V2

"For my Woodstock bass I wanted to explore an oil finish and passive pickups to preserve the tonal capacity of its solid Quilted Maple body. Aesthetically I was inspired by strawberry milk - the pink pigmented oil, its natural fingerboard and mother of pearl inlays and side dots put it on the more delicate end of the aesthetic spectrum of what we can do here at the Custom Shop. Don't let its softness fool you! It sounds warm, rich, and ready to deliver the tone and trademark feel of a Spector USA-made instrument." - Fen

NS-2 John - Woodstock Custom Collection V2

"My WCC Vol 2 build was inspired by the materials we use every day at the custom shop and finding a way to combine them that was visually and sonically appealing and fresh. The color of the roasted maple neck brings out the streaks of the Macassar ebony fingerboard, as well as the color and texture of the tortoise style inlay material. The transparent white finish was inspired by the classic Mary Kaye guitars of the 50’s and I chose flame maple and swamp ash body woods to best complement that color and for their reliable properties. For electronics, I went with three Lollar Thunderbird pickups, wired passively with simple controls that allow players to access any and all combinations of the pickups. Why three pickups? Why not?" - John

NS-2 Wil - Woodstock Custom Collection V2

"For my Woodstock bass this year, I wanted to have a somewhat subtle/minimalistic approach to my theme, The Little Prince. A favorite book of many, I wanted to include some of the iconic imagery, like the hand drawn stars from the cover in the fretboard, the moon-like surface of the headstock, and of course, the prince himself on the truss rod cover. The body color is a Ferrari blue, used to represent the night sky. Tonally, this bass leans very much in the traditional camp with solid Alder wings, hum cancelling Fralin J pickups in vintage position, and a stunning Indian Rosewood fretboard, an unusual feature for the Spector Custom Shop." - Wil
